THE MAVERICKS WILL DEBUT NEW ALBUM MONO FEBRUARY 17, 2015
Grammy-Winning Band Celebrates One World Theme with International Tour in 2015
Nashville, TN (November 19, 2014) – Making magic in the studio and delivering their genre-defying sound to live audiences over the last two decades, THE MAVERICKS will release MONO (The Valory Music Co.), on February 17, 2015 and embark on their one world themed tour on February 19, 2015. The Grammy-winning band first shared the exciting news from the Ryman Auditorium stage during their Grand Ole Opry® performance last night, where they previewed some of the fresh material. Get a sneak peek here.
The new album and international dates follow The Mavericks triumphant return in 2013: critically-acclaimed IN TIME, Twenty-Five Live Tour as well as major national TV appearances, including The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, CBS This Morning Saturday and a PBS Special.
A flurry of buzz elicited a hunger for more music, more signature swagger … more of The Mavericks. The Village Voice blatantly stated, “in a word or three, the Mavericks are cool as sh*t,” while No Depression insisted, “…the energy of a locomotive barreling down a track at a hundred miles an hour. The chemistry between these guys is so good…”Fans from the US, Canada, London, Australia, Scotland and places in between turned out for their exhilarating run of live shows throughout the last year of headline dates.
“This band has always defied the odds and expectations…a Country band from Miami with a Cuban singer? But it works, because people feel the passion,” explained The Mavericks’ guitarist Eddie Perez.
More MONO details and tour stops will be announced in the coming weeks.
